SPIL will have the manufacturing capability of making King Size Filter Cigarettes in Hard Packs of 20 Class A Cigarettes per Pack.

10 Packs (200 Cigarettes) can be Packed in Card Board Outer and Overwrapped in Polypropylene and 50 such cartons (10000 Cigarettes) will be stuffed into a Master Case.

SPIL will strive to procure the right specification of Tobacco & Non-Tobacco materials to meet the Brand Specifications of the Authorized Brand Owner.

Special attention will be paid to the Smoke deliveries, Packaging & Printing requirements including Tax Stamping Requirement as specified by the Brand Owner based on destination market laws and regulations.

All the Cigarettes manufactured in SPIL will be for export to overseas market only.

Choosing the leaf: Harvesting & Curing

Our process of purchasing the leaf begins from planting. We ensure that our suppliers use the best practices for quality leaf. Harvesting and curing determines the aroma. Curing is a process by which the harvested tobacco leaf is made ready for the market. For e.g. Freshly cured tobacco has a sharp aroma and bitter taste.

Our Factory Process

Balancing the moisture is primary. While too dry the tobacco leaf will crumble and if too moist there are high chances of spoilage during storing. The treatment of the blended tobacco with just the right amount of stem and water makes it supple. It is then cut into the form used in cigarettes. Before final blending and quality check the excess moisture is removed.

Step 1: The bales of leaves reach our Primary Unit where the cuts are made with the process of additives.

Step 2: Moisture content is regulated and the tobacco is sent for cutting.

Step 3: The cuts and blends are then processed and sent

The final pack before it reaches you: Out to Market

The sorting of the cigarette happens into pack-sized groups.
To preserve the freshness they are wrapped into foil.
The pack is assembled around the cigarettes to keep them intact.
A protective film is wrapped over the finished pack. This helps in preserving the aroma and freshness.
The packs go into cartons and then shipped.
